Guestband
Guestband is a new project that we are very excited about. It comes from the overlap of three different fields in which we have a large amount of experience.
Technology:
The team at Cimbr have many years of experience creating technology for events and conferences all around the world. These technologies have always included both hardware and software and have always been based around the premise that they:
- have to be intuitive for the end user,
- have to increase engagement &
- need to add value to the event
We have always worked tirelessly to understand the objectives of the events we have worked on and the audience our technology was going to be used by. The experience gained from having to work backwards from a desired outcome to the definition of a service has given us invaluable insight into the use of technology at events.
Hotels & Venues:
Due to the nature of the business we have all spent many, many days and nights at many different hotels and venues all around the world. This has given us an incredible amount of experience of the different aspects and problems of installing systems in locations and cultures that are all unique.
For any event to be successful, there has to be alignment with the services of the venue itself. The hidden passages and systems that form the backbone of any successful hotel operation are very familiar to us and we’ve had to make many adjustments to adapt to the hotels we have worked at.
We also have a great deal of experience of the 24⁄7 operational aspect of hotels, and we believe our work ethic and customer-centric attitude matches that of the best hotels in the world.
Parenting:
The third field we have experience in (not expertise though!) is parenting. We have taken small children on holiday and know the frustrations and joys that this can bring.
Above all else, what we wanted was the peace of mind that our children were as safe as they could be. Without being ‘helicopter parents’ in a large resort environment, this led us to think of ways we could employ our professional experience in RFID and hotels to allow us all the sensation at least of more freedom.
The surprising thing was, once we came up with a solution that would do just that, a whole series of other ideas just kept on coming and we soon realised Guestband had so much more potential.
Guestband
