Thoughts from an exhibition. With our partners at Hotellobot we exhibited at The Independent Hotel Show at Olympia, London in October 2018. It was our goal to talk to as many people as possible to see what RFID automation solutions they were using if any. We really had an interesting time talking to independent hoteliers and suppliers, picking their brains and challenging them to look at technology they hadn’t considered before.

We’ve all seen the ‘guess the amount of candy in the jar’ game. A large pot full of candy often on a stand at an exhibition, and everybody has a go at guessing how many sweets are in the jar. The real-life version of this is ‘guess the number of items in the laundry cart’. Do you hand count them and classify them, or sort them into different bins? What if there was a magical way to do this instantly?

Hello! Welcome to Cimbr, a new venture set up to design, create and install digital solutions in the Hospitality Industry. Whereas the company is new, the team behind it is certainly not. We all have many years’ experience creating technology for corporate events, conferences, product launches, etc. that have been held at hundreds of different hotels and venues all around the world. Our solutions have required a quick and simple integration and installation and have had to work in concert with existing infrastructure at the hotels and conference centres where the events have taken place.
